About Laurel Leaf Care and Support
Laurel Leaf Support started in 2014 and is passionate about delivering an effective, friendly and person centred service. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and work closely with various social and health care professionals whenever and wherever appropriate.
We are a relatively small organisation and this forms part of our charm. We aim to be friendly and to truly understand the people we provide services to. Our main office is located in Witney, Oxfordshire but we also have a satellite office located in Minehead, Somerset.
Most importantly, we have a team of dedicated employees who have all received relevant training, our support and care team are the core of our organisation as they are delivering the service. These are our Support Workers and the vast majority have been part of out team for a number of years. We are proud to have a very good staff retention rate.
We have two Coordinators, Kelly and Tanya. Kelly has a BSc in Midwifery, Tanya has a level 3 in health and social care. We have two Operations Supervisors, Carol (NVQ 4 in Care and RMA) and Laura (BSc Open Psychology) who help to oversee the implementation of new projects and various paperwork. Christian is our Safety and Quality Officer and has recently completed a specific diploma relating to quality control.
Our Registered Manager Christopher Dunn has a Masters Degree in Management from the University of South Wales and a First Class Honours degree in Social Care/Management from the Open University as well as an NVQ level 4 in care and the RMA required to be a Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission.
All of our line mangers including the Registered Manager often provide direct support work as well. We think this is important as this is the core task of our service.
